The very word “spiritual” conjures up a mixed bag of reactions in our society today. Some people associate spirituality with religious beliefs and want nothing to do with it. Many others view being spiritual as the antithesis of religion and as their individual path outside of mainstream religions. And still others feel a complete disconnect to all things spiritual and religious and progress through life just fine, though they may have an unspoken and untouched longing that they don’t know how to fill or address.
The spiritual guidance or spiritual direction I am referring to is not based on any religion, belief system, or belief in deity. The spiritual direction is inward. The guidance along the path leads back to the self. Whatever your belief system or lack thereof, this work of spirit is truly the work of self. Even if you have a strong religious belief system that you share with others, your path is will always be your own. Likewise two people walking the same traditional path follow completely individual paths. This work that I assist with embraces/enriches spiritual guidance for the path of the individual.
There is such longing in life. A search for how to find happiness. A feeling that something is missing. Many feel a sense of separation. From what? Some who believe in deity may say it is the longing for God. The pain of the fall, of the disconnect from the creator or source. Others say it is the longing for true connection to self, to knowing and being in complete synch with oneself. This work focuses on guiding one back into self and where that leads is a different path for each individual. Based on belief, experience, and personal curiosity to look within, one’s deeper connection to self may be exactly what they were seeking, while others open to a profound connection with deity. There is no right way, only your way. Come! Let’s explore your way!
